Developing Professional Science Teacher Candidates' Teaching Skills Based on Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)

This study aims to develop the teaching skills of science teacher candidates by integrating Indonesian standards with criteria Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) through innovative microteaching practices. A mixed-methods approach was used for this research, which targeted enrolled in courses, partner teachers, and lecturers. total 20 from a single class were subjects research. An innovation introduced allowed each student review analyze videos previous sessions prior their own practice. Data collected curriculum, videos, effectiveness tests two developed products. The instrument an open-ended observation sheet. Microteaching practices found professional line NGSS criteria. Partner teachers reported variety positive experiences related development syllabi, lesson plans, materials, worksheets, assessments. these as material collaboration lecturers courses. findings research indicate that courses provide information feedback candidates, preparation implementation evaluation learning, plays significant role developing skills.
